About

Meet the Maker-

Hi there! Welcome to Stay Home Stitches, my little world of cross stitching and embroidery! I'm Taylor! I am the owner, designer, and maker here! I am a twenty-three-year-old from Northfield, Illinois where I live with my incredible boyfriend and three pups. I am a full-time graduate student studying speech-language pathology and my store helps me support myself as I follow my dream of working with children with disabilities. I am big time lover of yoga, horror movies, crime shows, cuddling up with my pups, Funko Pops!, all things Disney, and of course, spending a lot of time on my couch stitching! Everything I make has little bits of the things I love woven into it and I put my heart into everything you see at Stay Home Stitches! Thank you for sharing this stitchy journey with me!

The Stay Home Stitches Story-

I began cross stitching in May of 2017 after seeing the works of many amazing artists on Instagram. I had no intention of starting a business, I just wanted a fun little hobby and a way to express my creativity during a rough patch in my life. After filling up a lot of my wall space, I had many friends asking me to make custom pieces for them and from there, Stay Home Stitches was born! I started as a tiny little Etsy shop, taking custom orders only and toying with patterns in October of 2017. Since then, Stay Home Stitches has quickly grown into an innovative store in the needlework world, where we have grown to a team of two and sell a wide variety of supplies, including our beautiful embroidery hoop frames utilizing the patent-pending ACMS Hoop Frame Rabbet System. Everything we do here is handmade in the United States from start to finish by us. We design, handcraft, and ship directly with no out sourcing involved. We also love bringing our items all over the world and sharing our work with international customers. Stay Home Stitches has had the honor of being featured several times in The World of Cross Stitching and Cross Stitch Crazy magazines, as well as several blogs and publications. The heart of Stay Home Stitches will always be custom orders and being able to make your vision a reality. Whether it's making an embroidery hoop frame that matches a floss color for a project that's important to you or stitching up a custom project for your home or a loved one, we will handmake it for you with love to create something special that you can cherish forever!
